I’m sitting in the office communal cubical and upon hearing The Macalope, laughed entirely WAY too loud. Being that I work in a prodominatly Window’s User office, there was no way I could explain this to the half dozen people staring at me with their investigative eyes. Thank you. You guys are HILARIOUS.

Hey, what is the internets technology that someone mentioned on this podcast that emails you a daily “newspaper” consisting of blogs/news that you subscribe to? It something like “just headlines” or “only headlines”. Google was no help, and I thought one of you guys said you use it on your own blog, but it is apparently not this one.

Heh I was also laughing the whole way through. I especially found Merlins copious references to the TWiT crisis funny.

Macbreak Weekly has quickly become my favorite podcast. The cast is great, keep it up.

This show was toooooooo short, but hilarious! I now have to go listen for a third time. Merlin are you going to sell-out and come under twit? You doing a vidcast would be cool.

A comment on the AppleCare discussion: Do get the AppleCare! Seriously. I don’t think I’d get it for a desktop or screen or pretty much anything else, but for a laptop: definitely. If anything fries/dies in a laptop, chances are that you’ll need a new logic board. And the cost for that is pretty much the same as buying a new laptop. I am speaking from painful experience, both my own and that of friends. It is totally worth it.

And there is no benefit in getting it towards the end of your 1 year warranty. The end date only depends on the purchase date of the laptop.

Regardless of how entertaining the MBWs are, can we please limit the blow-by-blow crosspromotion on the main 43folders blog?

The front page I’m looking at has 7 entries. Two of them are traditional helpful blog entries. Two are cross-promotions to MBW, two are cross-promotions to Merlin’s vlog/podcast, and one is a promotion for a conference Merlin is attending.

As much as I like Merlin, I came for the tips. Promoting other projects is great, but watch out for it taking over from the content.
