Board Checkin: What do we think so far?

So, we're a skosh over two weeks in to the new board, and I'm wondering what you guys think so far?

Is this a keeper or do you like the Google Group better? Maybe something else? Anything you'd like to see different here?

One thing--as I promised, if we decide to keep making a go of this, I'll invest a bit of time to get RSS feeds for each area. To me that segmenting is potentially the biggest draw. The way I plan to do it would take just a bit of work, but I'm happy to do it if we like the board in general and want to carry on.

Consider this an open thread for ideas and a place to share your thoughts on what we ought to do next.

Thanks for visiting and sharing your brain with us all.

Been a while

I just got here via the announcement to move on from the google group. I suspect you recognize that the answers here are from folks who like it here, so the answers are of course more likely to be affirming.

For me, It doesn't matter too much. I like both fine. Seems the main difference is here you get to define some areas for discussion (which can be quite good), and I assume you can execute Spammers (also good).

I like the free flowing nature of the google groups, but the when the numbers get so large, I understand why it makes sense to move to this sort of a format.

I guess that's a moot point now, so I guess I'm saying "It's OK!" :-)

The only thing I don't like is the amount of space all these pretty borders and boxes take up. Give us an Aqua interface.
I will move over here, though you are leaving the other running, probably checking in at both.

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »

Scared Shitless
