Whats you "Trusted System"

Hello all. I am brand new to the GTD system (Started one week ago). I am haveing some problems finding a good trusted system. I asked Merlin for advice and he directed me to you the reader for help. I am looking for suggestions on how to get this system into my life. thank you in advance for your answers and suggestions. Have a Very Merry Christmas

A plug for a tool

I have been using GTD for about 9 months now, and I credit it with many very important changes in my life. Most of what I use, others have mentioned. But I did want to emphasize one surprise tool in the arsenal that I wouldn't have expected to like -- the digital pocket recorder.

My phone has one, but it's not as convenient. And the one I use (Olympus VN-240 PC) has several folders -- which I use for different things: songwriting ideas on one, work and misc on another, and email ideas on the last one.

Point is, I would really recommend trying one out. I use it for everything -- just yesterday, in addition to all the regular uses, I recorded several phone numbers from people on the phone, the level where I parked my car, what wine I liked at dinner, and so on. :)

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »
