gtd-connect

Has anyone had a look at gtdconnect.com? David's set up what looks like forums, "exclusive" articles, and other goodies. Sadly he charges $48 (USD I assume) a month, which is way out of my budget. Still, it's a neat idea and maybe he'll bring the price down eventually. :)

I've signed up for it...

I've signed up for it - because I attended a GTD Roadmap seminar, I got a deal for 2 free months when I paid for one.

There's some good stuff - exclusive written and audio content, forums with lots of participation by DA and his staff, and live teleseminars.

For me and my budget, though, I don't think I'm going to stick with it after my 3-for1 tims is up. There's a lot of other great stuff out there to keep me engaged with GTD (this site is definitely one of them) with little or no monetary cost.

Also, I'm an information junkie. I'm already in the habit of reading 43F and participating a bit in the forums here. Plus I read a ton of other stuff both for work and personally. Paying for GTD Connect adds some really good content, but also a commitment to more participation on my part if I'm going to get my money's worth.

So, I think I'm sticking with the free stuff like 43F. Ironically, GTD has probably helped my prioritize and get my sh!t a bit more together to make this an easier decision...

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »

Scared Shitless

Merlin’s scared. You’re scared. Everybody is scared.

This is the video of Merlin’s keynote at Webstock 2011. The one where he cried. You should watch it. »
