Geekiness factor

Quick question everyone:

I have come to depend on GTD (implemented on a hipster PDA).

I have, however, received several jokes (some not so kind) from friends and co-workers when I pull out my index cards. They think I'm some sort of obsessive freak if I jot something down on my hipster or check a reference card. They've also made fun of the apparent "nerdiness" of the index cards fastened with a binder clip.

I suppose I could use a Moleskine. But I really like the flexibility of index cards. I'm wondering if there's anyway I could make the whole system less obtrusive. I suppose I could keep single index cards in my pocket for situations where the hipster might seem to weird.

Any advice?

For $38 you can wrap...

For $38 you can wrap your index cards in fine leather. I don't know if that ameliorates or merely decorates your geekiness, though. But I love mine.

Along the same lines, to avoid geekiness I often avoid wearing my "shirt-pocket briefcase" IN my shirt pocket, even though it fits there much more nicely than in my pants pockets...
