gtd reference app

Well I finally switched to a mac... and now the task of setting up my GTD system has started.

I have decided to try out kGTD and so far I am very happy.

What I am trying to do is find an application that will replace the functionality of zoot in windows for all my reference material.

For instance, I would like to be able to clip from the net, archive emails, save word, excel and other files. The idea would be for them to be tagged with the project name in some way.

I would obviously like a way to clip stuff without leaving the application that I am using. So if I am reading my email and I want to be able to send the email to the other application easily - maybe using the services menu.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Why not use OmniOutliner?

If you like kGTD, why not use OmniOutliner Pro to do here. Of course, all your outlines can be searched through Spotlight.

Another alternative I can recommend is Aquaminds' NoteTaker. It's excellent for organizing research material... though it doesn't have the fancy shmancy artificial intelligence that Devonthink employs.

But, if you're already invested in OOP+kGTD, then I'd start there and see if it fits you needs.
