Running Parallels and Windows on an iMac

Does anyone here have any experience running Parallels or heard much about it? What kind of virus/malware/spyware/etc. risks are there?

We're about to buy it for my Intel iMac at the office, and I'm wondering what to expect.

Parallels on a Mac is stable, swift, and simple. I use it on 2 iMac 24's and a 17 without difficulty. Buy as much RAM as you can afford. 1 is ok 2 is better.
