Why is it that no entity, cathedral or bazzar, has been able to develop the uber homepage? Many have gotten parts of it right, but no single My Portal has caught on. Even us uber users haven't found the right MacGyvered blog-PDA-bookmark-aggregator-photoalbum-ad nauseam open source opus that unites the world. 2 Comments

I can't count the number of times I've chatted over beer with pals as we describe the ultimate home page. The daily bookmark module. The prioritized linked ToDo list module. The linked drag&drop calendar module. The headlines RSS reader module. The level 1 priority only email inbox module. The close friends and family only IM module.
