Palm OS Outliners

Hey gurus, I am overwhelmed by choices and I'd like some input.

I am experimentimng with the following outliners.

  • Shadowplan
  • Bonsai
  • ThoughtManager
  • Brainforest

I'd be interested in comments and advice on using any or all of these.

I'd consider myself a somewhat sophisticated Palm user, but I'm new to outliners and I'd like simplicity in design, and ease of use over feature overload.

I don't want to spend my time learning to work with an outliner at the cost of my actual work not getting done. Intuitive usage is key, otherwise I'll end up using a paper and pen, and constantly losing that paper as well.

Thanks,

Chris

no takers?

alrighteeo, I'll just keep playing with all four until I find which one works best for me.

So far Bonsai is on top for best mix of functionality/intuitiveness(?word)/style/price, with Shadowplan second, and Thoughtmanager third.

  • Brainforest is out of the running for lack of functionality and a clunky interface.

  • Thoughtmanager would be in second if it werent so dang expensive.
  • Shadowplan would be tied with or even beat Bonsai if it had a more attractive interface and desktop app. It looks like it was written for Windows 95/98.
