Your 43 Folders wish list?
Merlin Mann | Sep 22 2007
Thanks again to everyone for their patience with our little team getting the site up. Thanks for everything. BUT! Enough of this self-congratulation. We got us a hot-rod new CMS and some hard, pipe-hittin’ new members to help make things fun and interesting. So you tell me: What new features and functionality do you want to see on 43f? If you’re a Drupal fan already, what modules, Views, or general tweaks do you think we’re missing? What would make your visits more enjoyable, useful, and productive? Not so much looking for bugs (those go here), but do feel free to spill on your mad fantasies for making the site crazy-useful to the productive set. 9 Comments

Well, since you asked...Submitted by Brandon_Leedy on September 24, 2007 - 2:15pm.
I would kindly like to see a little loving for the windows side of GTD… I know its not the norm of 43 Folders to talk things other than mac…but ya know, maybe throw us ONE article? A little “The closest thing you sorry users can get to quicksilver” article…or “How to improve that busted copy of Outlook without paying David Allen for a plugin”… Haha I only kid, David is the man…but in all seriousness, I think it would be awesome to see… (I’m personally compiling some artistic GTD tips to share here later, so artists fear not!) » POSTED IN:
Never anything wrong with. .Submitted by codykniffen on September 24, 2007 - 4:15pm.
…a little cross-platform action. I’m a Mac user, but as stated above by Leadster618, there’d be nothing wrong with some Windows and Linux action in the GTD realm. » POSTED IN:
OpenID supportSubmitted by larand on September 25, 2007 - 4:20am.
I’d love to see the site support OpenID. I’ve got enough logins and passwords to remember; being able to use my OpenID, especially in conjunction with the Seatbelt extension for Firefox that more or less automates it, speeds things up nicely and makes me that much more productive. There’s a Drupal module here. » POSTED IN:
I'm with mwr...Submitted by Flexiblefine on October 1, 2007 - 11:45am.
I’d like the forums to act like most other forums (and the old 43F forum) and treat items as “read” without having to visit each and every one of them. I’m content to use a “mark all as read” link somewhere handy on the page, so I don’t have to deal with weeks-old “new” items I’m not interested in. » POSTED IN:
mark all, and more...Submitted by augmentedfourth on October 8, 2007 - 10:07am.
I third the motion for "mark all as read." In addition, I would really dig some way to track comments on specific forum/blog posts that interest me. For instance, a personalized RSS feed (made private with an included hash value?) + a way to individually "tag" threads/discussions for inclusion. I don't generally visit sites looking for new content, just RSS/Atom feeds; it would be nice to have all of my currently-followed areas of 43f automatically presented in a feed. » POSTED IN:
RSS feeds for blog post comments and forum repliesSubmitted by janlt on October 26, 2007 - 3:12am.
I’m one of those people who can’t keep track of anything that doesn’t come with an RSS feed, so I’d love the ability to subscribe to comments on a specific blog or forum post. Pretty please. With sugar on top. And whipped cream. » POSTED IN:
Swinging both ways...Submitted by Banzai Bill on November 3, 2007 - 9:31am.
I second the windows help...I live in a mac world at home but work is all windows. With Mac sales up I think there may be more and more of us "closet" users. I also think an easy way to look at what resources are out there. Software, sites, books yada yada... » POSTED IN:
Explanation behind pulled postsSubmitted by Lex on December 23, 2007 - 8:51pm.
The courtesy of an explanation behind moderators removing posts. I’ve had two yanked that were neither inflammatory or inappropriate and no one big enough to admit they were the admin. who did it nor the reason. » POSTED IN:
