Luddite has kGTD & Quicksilver question

So I have been stumbling around in kGTD, 43 Folders, OmniPro land and am impressed, overwhelmed, and seduced by the vision of a promised land of a totally dovetailed & coherent organizational system whose outlines I only dimly understand.

I bought my Mac, bought my OmniFocus Pro, downloaded QS (was starting to feel smug), finally installed kGTD and have been totally derailed by the following instruction from kinkless kGTD:

If you plan on using the QS action, you should probably cover your bases by recompiling it. Open the Quicksilver action: ~/Library/Application Support/Quicksilver/Actions/Send to kGTD.scpt in script editor (just double clicking on it should do the trick, hit “compile” and then save.

Here are my incredibly remedial questions: How do I do that? Where precisely should I open my QS action? I can't find it in either the script editor or the QS and the script editor won't let me type or copy in the command as written above? What am I doing wrong??? Thank you for any help you all can provide.

Taking from what you’ve

Taking from what you've written, you need to Open the .scpt file by double-clicking on it. That should present the options for running, compiling etc. I haven't done it in awhile so I don't recall the specifics.

I might suggest you look at other software implementations of GTD. While kGTD is the first glorious and successful attempt at implementing GTD for Mac, it was meant as a stop-gap solution until more thorough applications were developed. That being said, there are other GTD software products that might offer a better user interface experience or functionality.

Take a look at Midnight Beep's Inbox, iGTD, and the yet-to-be-released OmniFocus. There are others for Mac but these are on my "short list" of GTD software.
