Paper-based calendar
mcnicks | May 18 2006
Are any of you using paper-based calendars to manage your hard landscape? By paper-based, I mean the DIY Planner type calendars rather than having a day- or week-per-page diary. I currently have two electronic calendars: I use 30boxes for my personal stuff and I am forced to use our Exchange calendar at work. Normally I 'sync' my hard landscape for the next few weeks into the back of my moleskine notebook but obviously that does not give me any idea about my availability after that time. I have a vague plan to print out the DIY planner yearly calendar and simply mark the dates when I am not available, so that if somebody suggests meeting on September 12th I can look and say, "I might not be available then, I will have to check and get back to you." I suppose I could also go the whole way and print out twelve monthly cards so that I can be more specific, but I do not want to have to cart around loads of 3x5s if I can avoid it. After all, these are really just for reference since my 'real' calendar is on a computer somewhere. 3 Comments
