Board highlights, 2006-01-31

Some of my favorite recent threads on the 43 Folders Messageboard are — perhaps not surprisingly — about Getting Things Done. Stop by and join the Talmudic discussions of everybody’s favorite productivity system.

  • @Computer & !@Computer - Exploring how to use GTD contexts when you spend a lot of your day at a computer. A very common dilemma shared by your host.
  • “GTD Lite” - How far can you strip down GTD and still maintain the core practices?
  • the essence of GTD - What’s the most important or defining aspect of GTD? I suspect most peoples’ answers change over time.
  • What’s your “Trusted System” - I love hearing how people are doing GTD — especially to see the evolution to something simpler and simpler.
  • How to implement GTD for university students - I wish GTD had existed in the middle ages when I went to college. Good tips here for students looking to get it together. (Reminder: go back-up your thesis right now)

Don’t you mean 2006?

I don’t think the date is required in the title since the URL provides that information.

I don't have to time...

I don’t have to time to read “GTD for University Students” since I have to run to a recitation for class (seriously), but I can’t wait to check it out! I’ve spent the last 6 months keeping school in one (frantic) manner that I hesitate to call a “system,” and running the rest of my life smoothly with GTD - maybe they can now meet-cute? Thanks, Merlin!
