As a kid, one of the biggest hurdles I had to any sort of organised management of my time was fear: fear that it would stifle my spontanaity, my creativity. I've adopted GTD in spite of that because (a) it seems to have the least impact in that area - actually makes claims to increase creativity; (b) I got to the point where I felt I had no choice. But given a choice, I think I'd rather just be spontaneous. Wouldn't all of us? Kids have less responsibility than we do (define "kids" as you will), so they don't have to make that call yet. So, sure, teach kids GTD. Excellent idea. I'm trying to get my six year old to understand the idea of a next action at the moment. But let them decide when and if to use those tools. » POSTED IN:
