Exercise Life Hack?
wilburwatkins | Dec 19 2005
Hey all! I'm looking for an effective workout life-hack that's 30-40 minutes 3-4 times a week that includes weightlifting and aerobics. I don't need to be "ripped" -- just want some basic fitness. I'm looking for the most bang for the time spent. (Exercises that use multiple muscle groups, etc.) Something between the unrealistic get fit for 5 minutes a day group and people who can spend two hours a day at the gym. I'm looking for some sedentary computer type who researched this and solved this problem. Anybody out there done this? Want to share your workout? Thanks! 31 Comments

Another PS2 Fitness GameSubmitted by Andrhia on January 15, 2006 - 12:49pm.
I've found I'm much more inclined to do a fitness activity if it feels like I'm not doing a fitness activity. I'm a big fan of Dance Dance Revolution for that. It's even better if you have a group of friends who play so you can get any hypercompetitive gamer instincts you have working for you. If Yourself!Fitness looks interesting to you, you might also want to check out Kinetic: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000BY5YWE It's an EyeToy game, which means that you interact with objects on the screen by moving your body in physical space. I just picked it up this week, and it's lots of fun; toning for upper and lower body is one of the things in it. It's a bit twitchy in terms of camera responsiveness, but when you're in it for the exercise and not for the high score I don't know that it matters so much... :) » POSTED IN:
