Tracks::GTD who's using it?
wwalker | Jan 24 2006
I came to read this forum to get ideas before starting a Ruby on Rails (a web development system) project to do 43 folders. I found in nearly the last post I read a reference to Tracks::GTD (http://www.rousette.org.uk/projects/). Being a Ruby on Rails app, you can just install Ruby, then Rails on your computer (Windows, Linux, OSX...) and in a few minutes have Tracks running. It looks good to me so far. Who else is using it? any comments or pointers? Wayne 46 Comments

I'm using it. After a little configuring, it worked well for me. It's a great app if you take your laptop with you, or sit at the computer for most of your work. As a Computer Science student, I found it very useful. It's a little cumbersome though when you need to look up something to tell someone, because you have to boot up your machine. Also, some non-cs teachers don't like laptops being always on during class, or you typing a lot. I actually no longer use Tracks as I've found it just not realistic for me to have my laptop with me all the time. But I will say it's the best app I used for GTD that is available on linux. Have you checked out php-gtd? That project is getting pretty cool. » POSTED IN:
