Code Friendly Search Engine?

I think this qualifies as a tool. I am looking for a search engine that is code friendly. When I am working on web coding, I would like to be able to search the web for code when I have problems. This would be especially useful when working with CMS or blogging systems such as Drupal, Wordpress, etc.

When I search Google (even with quotes), my code characters such as (), {}, and other such are stripped from the search string. Is there a search engine that will work more simply in such situations? I'm surprised Google hasn't managed this. I could imagine Google making it more tolerant of spaces and such, but at this point I just want to be able to search for code snippets.

I'm not a programmer by...

I'm not a programmer by any stretch of the imagination but I remember several discussions on slashdot about this sort of thing and this is what I dug up:

http://www.krugle.com/

http://browsebyquery.sourceforge.net/: For Java only I believe.

http://csourcesearch.net/: C/C++

If these aren't what you're looking for then here is the search I did to find the above. :)

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »

Scared Shitless

Merlin’s scared. You’re scared. Everybody is scared.

This is the video of Merlin’s keynote at Webstock 2011. The one where he cried. You should watch it. »
