”What’s 43 Folders?”
43Folders.com is Merlin Mann’s website about finding the time and attention to do your best creative work.

Hello

Hello!

I feel underrepresented...as a Pocket PC user who spends three hours each day on a train, I can't use Outlook plugins, web apps, or Windows or OS X apps, or grep. Or even Palm apps. Is there a resource I've missed, discussing GTD on Pocket PC or even on bare Outlook? (I actually use Pocket Informant.)

I will say the Outlook category system is very flexible - I've been using it for context lists for years (all my tasks appear in multiple contexts).

(Of course, the real problem is not so much managing the to-do lists, as actually doing the things on the lists. As opposed to reading websites about doing the things on your lists. I'm OK now, though, because asking the question above is actually on one of my lists.)

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »

Scared Shitless

Merlin’s scared. You’re scared. Everybody is scared.

This is the video of Merlin’s keynote at Webstock 2011. The one where he cried. You should watch it. »
