Thanks so much, emory. With our son and our new addition, I do think it would be nice to have a half-way decent camera on me all the time...

I would call myself a "moderate" SMS user, and my main interest in mobile email is reading. I've also been looking at the Pearl, but I've done the BB thing and while it's very slick in terms of email integration, the calendaring features are a bit archaic.

From what I've googled, the N73 now syncs natively with iSync and doesn't require any hacking.

I'm looking at hi-mobile right now and their prices seem pretty much in line with what I've seen elsewhere. You're certainly not going to save anything buying on eBay which - again - seems kind of bizarre to me.

emory - can you shed some light on the different "editions" of this phone? I'm seeing "Black Music w/ 2 GB mini SD," "Black Internet," "Plum/Silver," "White/Brown," etc. and they're all priced differently.

Edited to add link to hi-mobile. And also to add a general wondering about what these eBayers are smoking when they list these phones with $440 BIN prices PLUS $20 shipping... Sheesh!

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »

Scared Shitless

This is the video of Merlin’s keynote at Webstock 2011. The one where he cried. You should watch it. »
