Tralee Pearce did a nice piece on the Hipster PDA and adopting analog tech in today’s Globe and Mail.

”So that means unless your Palm is integrated into your phone or your MP3 player you’re gonna need a Chewbacca bandolier to keep all your stuff on,” he says, betraying his nerdiness with a Star Wars reference. “Do you really need a sack with three pieces of equipment in it every time you go to a bar? There’s something a little tragic about it.”

Fixedgear, I often share your frustration with journalists, but not in this case. The statement is true; it is a fetishization of all things analogue; he did not write that it was a fetishization of only things analogue that it’s all about things analogue….
