Ready-Set-Do! - GTD Implementation for the Mac

Ready-Set-Do! is a full GTD-implementation for the mac. It now comes with three Quicktime movie tutorials that give a quick overview of the core GTD habits (great even for non-mac users!).

http://homepage.mac.com/toddvasquez/apps

The advantage of this approach to GTD on the mac is that it comprehensively integrates all of one's files and programs into the GTD workflow without locking users into a program that may or may not have long-term future software support.

Once installed just choose one of the following from the Ready-Set-Do! folder in your dock:
1. Empty Your Head
2. Get INBOX to Empty
3. Get Some ACTIONABLES Done
4. Get Clear on PROJECTS
5. Follow-Up WAITING FORS
6. Get Some READING Done
7. Do DAILY REVIEW
8. Do WEEKLY REVIEW
9. Make Action Lists?
10. Ready-Set-Do! Help?

The site also has numerous other Xtras on productivity you may find useful:
? 10 Reasons Why Actionables Linger
? Pruning Your GTD System Checklist
? Why It's Not Getting Done Checklist

If you would like to try Ready-Set-Do! out (or you know others who would), I would greatly appreciate any feedback.

This is a really neat...

This is a really neat application. I bought it but have yet to truly implement it.

I am surprised there aren't more posts or questions about it.

I looked at it more...

I looked at it more than once but the concept of using folders to list actions is just too foreign for me I guess.

Is "Ready-Set-Do" working on Mac OS X (10.3.9)?

I was excited to try the demo version 1.1. I am running mac OS X (v 10.3.9).
The install did not work and the readme is an empty file.
Todd I would have contacted you directly I could not find your contact info on your website.

Thanks,
Ceurdge

re: On Installing RSD with OS X 10.3.9

Hi Ceurdge,

This issue you mention is normally caused by using an older version of StuffIt or by a web browser that is set to automatically unzip files. If you experience seeing a blank Read Me file or what seems to be an incomplete download, it is best to use BOMArchiveHelper to unzip the file instead. You can do this by control-clicking on the zip file and choosing "Open with", then choosing BOMArchiveHelper. Or, alternatively, you can select the zip file, choose Get Info from the File menu and change the "Open with" section to have the file open with BOMArchiveHelper.

Hope that helps,

Sincerely,

Earn a "Black Belt" in Productivity with Ready-Set-Do!

You can now earn your black belt in productivity with Ready-Set-Do! 1.2.

One of the really cool new features in this version is the ability to generate a "Productivity Report" that scores you on how productive you are. It tells you the percentage of projects you've clarified, the record number of items you've processed out of your Inbox, the average number of weekly reviews you complete per month, and it even assigns you a "belt level" allowing you to progress from the White Belt all the way to the highest, 3rd Degree Black Belt level of productivity.

If you like the ability to track your productivity and get coached along the way, this may be the version for you:

http://homepage.mac.com/toddvasquez/Ready-Set-Do!/FileSharing80.html

Other new features in version 1.2 include:

? Send things to your Ready-Set-Do! folders from any computer connected to the internet with the new RSD Mail Rule!
? Eliminate redundancy with projects that have the same workflows with the new project tags feature!
? Add a deadline to a project and watch as all of its components automatically get assigned appropriate due dates to ensure you complete the project on time!
? Instantly see your urgent and significant tasks at-a-glance with the new Red-Orange-Yellow and Green-Purple-Blue color schemes!
? Stay ahead-of-the-game with the ability to always process your urgent and significant tasks first!
? Print out meeting notes with all of the agenda items and waiting fors for individuals or groups you need to meet with right away with the new agenda-maker!
? Email your entire inventory of projects and tasks so you have access to them from anywhere!

I hope you all find something in this version you like. Enjoy!
