Hosts: Leo Laporte, Alex Lindsay, Andy Ihnatko, Chris Breen, Merlin Mann, and Scott Bourne

It's the Macbreak Weekly Year Ender!

Here's a direct MP3 download of MBW 70.

And here's linkage to a few of the things I mentioned (adapted from this episode's show notes):

And, of course, here's the full, 2-hour version of the truly unbelievable Star Wars Holiday Special.

Happy Life Day, indeed.

Best. Remote. App.

I spent some time looking around at different applications as a replacement for Front Row and after giving them all a go, I was happy to find Remote Buddy. I use it to control my MacBook Pro with the Apple Remote and its worked flawlessly. I recall being hesitant at that point in the install as well, but I went for it anyway and was quite happy with the results.

I use it primarily to connect to the PC on my network that has most of my media on it, and this app has a clean interface to do that, and even choose which application I want to open with media with, all from the Apple Remote.

I heard your hesitation while listening to MacBreak Weekly and figured I would share my positive experience.

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »

Scared Shitless
