Why are some seemingly basic features missing from note-taking, task-tracking apps?Daniel Loranz | Oct 10 2007Anyone have comments on the following? Are the issues philosophical, technical, style-related, other ... ? 1 - Why don't most (all?) task-management apps allow for multi-level sorting of tasks? For example, sort active tasks to the top, then sub-sort flagged tasks to the top of active tasks, then sub sort by due date - or some such scenario. I see iGTD can do this. I'm not sure about OmniFocus. Most other task-management apps don't seem able to do this. 2 - Why do so few notes/clippings managers include outlining capabilities?
