Hi Neighbor Have a Gansett. From Rhode Island

Hi there,

I work for a non profit in Providence taking care of the network, teaching, fixing and all things computer. (Actually I get to fix anything plugged in)

At Night I do some web design and a bunch of podcasts. I have one that I do with my cousin in Belfast discussing music from the 60's and the 70's (www.oneoclockradio.com)

I produce another one about life's stories, also available from the above site. Usually funny stuff.

Email Has Replaced The Telephone

It's almost 2008 and the fact is: email has replaced the phone. Email is the number one business tool.

Why do I say this? Our company email server exchange is down and our business is almost paralyzed, (at least for the next few minutes.)

Have you noticed that most of us would rather send an email then pick up the phone?

ChronoSync and Things

I've been using the Things beta on my desk, and would like to synchronize it's database with my laptop. I've set up a scheduler for ChronoSync, but I'd like to know if any of you folks have a better way.

Quicksilver and Tracking you time

Hi,

Is there anyway of using quicksilver to track your time?

Something similar to append to file, but also adds the date/time? Or maybe a start/stop timer that you can adds notes to.

Any ideas would be great?

Thanks.

Merlin - Separated at birth from twin?

I was watching E! News last night (my wife was controlling the remote control, honest!) and saw Merlin's doppleganger, who is a correspondent for that show. Is it just me? Am I crazy, or do Merlin Mann and Marc Malkin look related in some way? Maybe it is just the glasses...and the initials! Too coincidental to be happenstance...

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »
