I just watched the Inbox Zero video, and I REALLY want to start implementing processing. My question regards on-going conversations or responses. Do you suggest deleting or archiving each response as they come in, or waiting until the final email comes in and hold on to that one?

Ok, not sure that makes sense, but I’m thinking about email “trees” where a conversation happens via email.

Thoughts?

I’ve been using Merlin’s Inbox Zero techniques for many months now—processing, not checking. I like it and it’s been helpful.

I’d like to talk about it at work, much like Merlin’s Tech Talk, but I’m concerned that this is Merlin’s livelihood and I shouldn’t do more than point people to 43f and say “look at the inbox zero stuff, it’s good.” I don’t think that I could get my work’s training folks to license this.

Is there an appropriate way to present this useful tool? What’s the happy medium?
