Fresh voices on 43 Folders

Since 43 Folders launched three years ago, I've been thrilled and humbled by the insight that readers, commenters, and the occasional guest blogger have brought to this modest undertaking. And I've regretted that it's been a little clunky to properly share those insights with the same authority and promotion as your hapless author's contributions. Well, I think we're about to get better at that.

Hawk Wings: Me on Mail.app

Hawk Wings » Blog Archive » Talking Mail.app: Merlin Mann

Tim Gaden's been doing a series on various Mac folks' usage of Mail.app. He's talked with folks like John Gruber, Mathowie, and Ethan Schoonover about what they like (and don't) about OS X's default mail application, as well as the ways they'd like to see it improve.

I want to be able to input all the future reminders at one time and trust that at the appointed time in the future, the volunteers will be duly reminded.

Barriers: volunteers use a host different e-mail services and also do not want to sign up for any more lists/services.

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »

Scared Shitless

Merlin’s scared. You’re scared. Everybody is scared.

This is the video of Merlin’s keynote at Webstock 2011. The one where he cried. You should watch it. »
