Our Most Popular PostsText 'clipboard' for MacSimon Lewin | Jan 6 2008Firstly, I hope I've posted this in the right area - apologies if not. I'm looking for a Mac utility that will allow me to easily store a selection of often used chunks of text (sometimes for us in e-mails, sometimes in documents) that I can quickly find and paste when needed. Any recommendations? Many thanks, Simon 4 Comments

Creating Research DatabaseMichael Pitkowsky | Feb 25 2008I recently read an interesting post at Study Hacks about building a research database. The program used was Microsoft Access and I was looking for suggestions for a Mac program which might accomplish the same tasks. I have Devon Think and will take a look at Filemaker Pro, but I was looking for some other suggestions. Thanks for any help. POSTED IN:

Batch OCR with Scansnapjoej | Feb 15 2008I have one of the "older" Fujitsu Scansnaps (fi-5110EOXM) that came with Acrobat 7.0 only. I moved overseas right after getting the scanner and was unable to get Readris by mail-in. Now, I have no OCR capability except for Acrobat 7 Pro which seems to be non-useful (won't OCR, crashes). My scans don't show up in Spotlight. :( I would love to 1) OCR my past scans as well as 2) continue to scan in rapid succession during the day and have something do OCR at night. My questions: -Is there any software that will do batch OCR on my scans that is affordable? read more »POSTED IN:
