Organizing ideas and sketches for artistsSidney Bussell | Sep 28 2007I am an illustrator who does storyboards for advertising and I am trying to make my self teaching more rational and to the point. The outcome I'm after is that I'll have the ability to keep my train of thought recorded using words as well as my sketches so that when work sporadically comes in and interrupts my explorations I wont come back two weeks later with only the memory of something exciting I was doing but can't quite remember what it was. read more »POSTED IN:
how do you choose tags?Simon | Apr 8 2008hey guys I would like to know what your habits are in tagging files. I found this very cool app, Punakea. It's a tagging software, basically similar to Yojimbo, Journaler,...and I'm thinking of tagging all my documents and files and have them organized by Punakea (instead of sorting them manually into folders) So do you have a certain system or what is your thinking process when you tag the files. thanks for any suggestions simon POSTED IN:
getting started with remindjennifer chuong | Nov 14 2007hi! I've been curious about Remind for a long time after reading Mike Harris' introduction, but only just got around to trying to install/use it. I've never done anything in Terminal (like several other people who left comments to the original post), but after a lot of fiddling around I managed to install the program and set up a .reminders file. Problem is, I can't seem to actually figure out how to call up any of the reminders. "rem" or "remind" (and variants of) are "command[s] not found." read more »POSTED IN:
GTD and RPM Fusion ProjectLuke Bai | Mar 29 2008Hi guys I am working on a special project to combine GTD with RPM. RPM(aka OPA) is developed by Anthony Robbins, a top-down time management approach. I also aim the approach to be compatible with covey's 7 Habits. I used both GTD and RPM in the past few years. To the contrary belief, they are not really competing with each other. GTD did a great job in capturing, that's what RPM lacks. RPM did a great job in higher level planning aka 10,000-50,000ft stuff. Develop visions and goals etc. I implemented this fusion approach using DevonThink and iGTD. read more »POSTED IN:

Easy Mail.app sortingKen Robertson | Feb 21 2008I'm a recent convert from Windows to Mac and have been loving it so far. One thing I really haven't gotten solved yet though is email. Since my work uses Exchange, I was using Outlook 2007 before and had this wonder add-in called ClearContext (http://www.clearcontext.com/) that allowed me to quickly assign a category/topic to a thread, and then with one click, the entire thread would be filed away into the topic's folder and out of my inbox. read more »POSTED IN:
