The only unfinished thing in OS X : Network setup

As a longtime Windows user, I was really impressed by a lot of OS X. Not only the look, which is not my primary concern, but the intelligence of most things. OS X reminds me of the opposite of the feeling you get when using some products. Reactions like "Jeeze, didn't anyone ever try this to see how bad it sucks?" when trying to configure certain phones or other devices. So Apple hardware and OS X both are pretty cool.

If I'm so unproductive, why do I get great job reviews?

I work at a large company, have two kids, run a side business and have a hobby that takes a LOT of time. In the course of an average week, I do my job well enough to make my boss think I'm great, keep my kids and business partner happy and make adequate progress on my hobbies, but I can't help but feel that I'm spending at least 40% of my time just zoning out and spinning my wheels trying to get a handle on things.

Newbie implementation Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt...lol

Ok, for your reference file, this is the context in which these questions came about.

I am attempting to learn and implement as much of GTD in 30 days as I can. I figured I would ask these questions here as this a forum more geared to GTD Geeks and Gurus...I appreciate everything!

Outlook Tweaks

Hello all-

I am looking for a way to track the day to day minutiae of my ambulance service for me and several other supervisors. This is random information that needs to be referenced sometimes, and that is generally (currently) written down on paper. find that when I want to reference something, I am rifling through weeks worth of paper.

I have proposed moving this to some computer based format, and the higher ups have (sadly) decreed that it will be managed through MS outlook.

Podcast Management

I am currently subscribed to about 25 podcasts, each with either daily, bi-weekly, or weekly release. I benefit from listening to them all, but I feel like I don't have enough free time to do so. Mostly I do my listening as I walk around campus or do odd things around the house, but often I need to focus on written material which prevents me from simultaneously understanding the podcasts.

Does anyone have any suggestions about how to digest lots podcasts in a very structured and efficient manner? Is 25 podcasts a lot, or not much at all? Anything you have to say about this subject will interest me.

Thanks!

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »

Scared Shitless

Merlin’s scared. You’re scared. Everybody is scared.

This is the video of Merlin’s keynote at Webstock 2011. The one where he cried. You should watch it. »
