iGTD, OmniFocus, Inbox and Things very briefly compared

A brief outline of my experiences so far:

OmniFocus and iGTD

  • extremely similar appearance and workflow
  • work well
  • very quick to enter info
  • both somewhat sloppy with the GTD model
  • neither provides a proper Waiting For list

Midnight Inbox

  • looks great - brilliant in fact
  • has a somewhat in-your-face attitude towards GTD
  • seems quite rigid, which may be a good thing or not
  • some interface weirdness
  • I found it slow to use, because it is often not clear how to do something

If we add new folks it'll be due to a new contact that'll keep everybody hopping at nice pace, and we want to be able to have one place to track all projects and pricing, as well as communicate new and updated info.

Cranking

Merlin used to crank. He’s not cranking any more.

This is an essay about family, priorities, and Shakey’s Pizza, and it’s probably the best thing he’s written. »

Scared Shitless

Merlin’s scared. You’re scared. Everybody is scared.

This is the video of Merlin’s keynote at Webstock 2011. The one where he cried. You should watch it. »
