Our Most Popular PostsUnplugJames Reed | Mar 9 2008Talk about unplugging. The latest Bruno Aveillan ad for Loius Vuitton is the sweetest little homage to letting go. God this guy can make 'just being' the sexiest damn thing in the world. This clip is like transcendental meditation on ecstasy. My life hack resolution this week is to slip a volume of Pablo Neruda into my brief case and to somehow find a half hour in my workday to step off the gerbil wheel and just be... read more »1 Comment

An issue i've been havingJimi Heffernan | Oct 13 2007Heres my problem. Let's say i've made a list of things i need to talk to bob about. So i have a list of tasks in my @Bob context. I go to school, and, until recently, i wouldn't have even had that list when i bumped unexpectedly into him, but now i have decided to put those in my iPod Touch, which i always have, and is, unlike a notecard, reuseable. Now heres the issue. How do i rememember how to whip out the touch, flick over to @bob and go "I need to ask you about a horse." or whatever the task is? quite a conundrum for me. any ideas? ClearContext 4 Review - New Dashboard feature good for GTDturtlewax | Nov 15 2007About a year ago I discovered ClearContext, a plugin for Microsoft Outlook that helps you manage your inbox. I tried it and wrote my comments here on this forum (http://www.43folders.com/forum/2006/10/20/gtd-and-clearcontext) I never was able to really get working on GTD, but not because of the software, mainly because of me. However, ClearContext and some of the GTD concepts have helped me in keeping my Inbox almost empty most of the time. I will not repeat myself, but the "Defer" and "Unsuscbribe" features that I described in the other post have been a great help read more »POSTED IN:
Family Tree app for Mac?Russell | Nov 9 2007Are there any applications on the Mac OS X platform that were designed for compiling family tree information? If not, any apps already on the Mac platform that are helpful to build a family tree? I'm thinking OmniGraffle on that one if nothing else already exists for family tree building. Does anyone have recommendations on compiling this information? Applications to help compile and build this information? Sites that I must check out for info? Any general suggestions are appreciated on this project as well... Thanks! POSTED IN:
Scansnap alternatives???Manolito De los Reyes | Feb 20 2008I've heard a lot about the Fujitsu Scansnap and how people have been utilizing it in their paperless lives. I was wondering if anyone has a less expensive alternative to the Scansnap. Perhaps similar product on the cheap(er)? Or has someone found a nice All in One type printer that works for their paperless workflow? POSTED IN:

GTDer's Choice Awards: Ubiquitous Capturing DeviceTodd V | Dec 19 2007The ultimate ubiquitous capturing device has the following qualities: (1) You can take it with you anywhere, (2) It's always with you, (3) You begin writing immediately (less than 5 seconds). With all the options out there I'd like to know from others what their #1 choice is for ubiquitous capture. And I'd prefer it came from those who have been using that collecting device/method for over a year. POSTED IN:

"Next" comments should link directly TO commentsvlb | Oct 12 2007I finish reading an article and start reading the comments. At the end of the page, I click Next. I find myself at the top of the next page, but again at the top of the article, which I must scroll through to get to the second page of comments. When I reach the bottom I click Next and, once again, there's the entire article to scroll through. The "Next" link should position me at the top of the next set of comments. (Whether or not the article is on the page doesn't matter to me much if my screen is positioned at the top of comments). POSTED IN:
